Many BDSM submissive slave positions are a variation of the Gorean slave positions. The BDSM slave positions are not set in stone and can vary depending on what a couple wants from their Master/slave or Dom/sub relationship.
Hence the positions I am going to discuss in this article are those that I and slave L have been practicing in our relationship for a long time. The names of the positions and their execution each and everything is something we adjusted fitting to our needs.
BDSM submissive slave positions are postures that a slave or a sub assumes on the orders of their Master. The use of slave positions is a way for a submissive person to show their willingness to submit to their dominant partner’s control and authority. Further slave positions are a great way to present and view the slave. Teaching slave positions as part of your slave training can be a great way to bond.
The article will explore the 12 basic slave positions Sir M and his slave Lisa are practicing and why we are recommending integrating them into all submissive training schedules. Let’s get started.
Why Include Submissive Positions As Part of Slave Training?
Teaching your sub-slave positions is an integral part of slave training. So, before diving into the details of significant slave positions, it’s essential to discuss the necessity of including slave positions as part of BDSM slave training.
- Slave positions enable the sub to get into a submissive mindset. The submissive position reminds the sub to remain obedient and respectful to their Master.
- The positions help establish a power dynamic among the BDSM couple. It allows submissives to follow their Master’s orders, eventually upholding the Master in a higher position.
- Teaching slave positions to your sub helps make communication swifter and more straightforward. A simple command would make the slave assume a particular position, hence enabling them to understand basic cues from their Master rather quickly.
- Slave positions also can be used to punish the submissive, adding more excitement to a mundane BDSM relationship.
12 Submissive Slave Positions For You to Master
Now that we’re clear on why teaching slave positions is an essential aspect of any BDSM dynamic let’s go through 12 slave positions that are common and practical; and further, you can get started with most of them without any previous practice.
Position No. 1: Wait
In the kneeling “Wait” position, the slave has their feet under their legs, and the toes slightly touch each other. This submissive position is based on the Gorean Nadu position.
The arms and hands are on the knees of the slave, with the palms facing up and pointing to the sky. The slave has their legs spread out and their back stretched.
The position demonstrates complete submission and obedience to the Master and may be combined with other BDSM activities, such as bondage or sensory deprivation.
Position No. 2: Humble
The Humble position, also known as the “Humble Bow” or the “Bowing position,” is another common slave position.
In this position, the slave kneels on the ground, knees half apart, and arms extended in front of the head, placing the left hand over the right. It’s very similar to the yoga “child’s pose.” The back is stretched out, and the head faces down on the ground.
The Humble position demonstrates submission and respect towards the dominant partner or Master.
The position is a great way to express humility or contrition. In addition, the position can be used as punishment or discipline or to initiate or end a BDSM scene.
Position No. 3: Table
The Table position is commonly used in BDSM for objectification or humiliation of the sub. Thus the slave could be used as furniture (object), and no attention will be paid to the submissive (humiliation). You can also use this position for impact play or other forms of BDSM play.

In the ‘Table’ position, the slave is on all fours with a straight head (looking to the floor) and neck. The back is straight, the arms extended, and the hands are directly under the shoulders. The legs are parallel to each other. To challenge the slave, objects (e.g., glass, cup, ashtray,…) could be placed on the back; asked to hold the position for a longer time, making it a great stress position for slave training or punishment.
Position No. 4: Cat
The “Cat” position is a BDSM position where the submissive partner gets down on their forearms and knees, with their head lowered, looking to the floor. It’s similar to doggy style, except your belly is tucked in with your thighs, elbows touching the knees, and your hands are in front, flat on the floor.
Cat position is used for Pet Play, letting the slave wait for their Master or general obedience, but it could also be a good start for impact play. The position is known as the “Cat” position due to the arched shape of the submissive partner’s back.
Position No. 5: Collar Me
In BDSM, a “Collar Me” position typically refers to a submissive position where the submissive partner sits on their legs. The legs are under the thighs, and the toes slightly touch each other. The slave presents their neck for the dominant to place a collar around it. The arms are crossed behind the head and holding the hair, revealing the sub’s neck and throat for collaring.
This act symbolizes the submissive’s surrender to their dominant partner and the acceptance of their dominance. The slave sits with their head straight, hands interlaced behind the head, and legs spread apart (as in the Wait position). The back is straight, and the sub holds their long hair by hand, so the Master can easily collar her.
Position No. 6: Yoga Squat

The “Yoga Squat” position is a special/unique position often performed by Sir M and slave L. In this position, the slave holds a squatting position with a straight back and head. The hands are in praying positions, with both palms touching each other in front of the chest. The knees are spread apart, and the feet are as close as possible next to each other with a full straight back.
The “Yoga Squat” position is not exactly common in the BDSM community and is personally added by Sir M as a kind of stress position. Stress positions are submissive positions in which a large portion of body weight is supported by one or two body muscles. The purpose of this position is to punish the slave.
The “Yoga Squat” position could be seen as a part of kink yoga and has many benefits. Kink yoga helps improve flexibility which can help your slave perform even more complex positions.
Position No. 7: Belly
In the “Belly” position, the slave lays on their belly with a straight back—their arms behind the back, both bend right-angles attached to each other. The head is straight and is directed to look at the floor. The legs are straight and spread apart at 70 degrees.
This position can be used for various activities, such as impact play, sensation play, or sexual activities. When a submissive is in the belly position, they are vulnerable and exposed, creating a feeling of helplessness and surrender. The dominant partner can use this position to assert their power and control over the submissive and explore their body and reactions.
Position No. 8: Bombshell
In the Bombshell position, the slave lays on their back with a straight head looking up. Arms, directed to the lower part of the body, symmetrically, slightly reaching outwards. The legs are drawn up and spread apart, feet brought closer to the buttock so that the hollow of the knee describes a right angle.
This position, especially if you are naked, completely exposes the slave’s genitals to their Master, putting the slave in a highly vulnerable position. The position allows the couples to explore each other deeply and express their kinky nature more explicitly.
Position No. 9: Half-Bridge

In the “Half-Bridge” position, the slave lies with its backside on the ground. Their head is in their natural position and looking up. The arms are straight and positioned directly next to the body, palms on the floor. The feet are spread apart, with the ass pushing up in the sky (bridge) and the shoulders resting on the floor.
The buttock is the main part of the body which is exposed in this position. Half bridge position is also a stress position. The “Half-bridge” position can be used in many instances, e.g., as a form of punishment. The position can also be performed to give the slave oral pleasure or to vibrate her. It can also be assumed to start intercourse.
Position No. 10: Inspection
The “Inspection” position is a slave position, which allows the Master to examine their slave thoroughly. The slave stands tall with a straight back. The head is straight, eyes facing to the left. The arms are bent at right angles behind the back, with the forearms superimposed parallel. The legs are spread widely apart for the Master to gain complete access to the private parts of their slave.
Besides the obvious, this submissive position could also be used as a waiting position if the Dom wants the sub to be stationary, not moving, and maybe also not talking.
Position No. 11: Wall
The “Wall” submissive slave position is also a stressful position since it requires the slave to hold their arms above their head and hands so that one palm touches the back of the other hand. To give some rest to the arms, the slave could keep her hands on the wall. Hence, the position is established with the legs apart, the hips slightly bent (if not free-standing), and the hands on the wall, as if under arrest.
The slaves are entirely exposed, with their asses in a revealing position. The Wall position could be employed as a temporary play position for spanking and other impact play. Also, it’s a good spot for anal training; and an excellent position for physical punishment if the slave is asked to perform the position for longer.
Position No. 12: Whipping

The “Whipping” position in BDSM refers to a position especially useful for impact play. The slave kneels with the upper body bent forward, forehead on the floor, and back as straight as possible. Hands-on the back of the head clasped together. In this position, the hands and forearms protect the head and face if a shoulder strike isn’t as precise.
This slave position could also be a great start for intercourse, taking the sub from the backside.
